Thomas István
Founder & Manager

Welcome! My name is Thomas, founder and manager at Mellowdy Studios.

Back in 1999, I set up my first studio, started recording and mixing bands as well as creating my own compositions. It was then that I discovered what I feel to be my vocation.
Now, a few years later, I have decided to build up Mellowdy Studios as a place of professional sound creation for artists, agencies and others alike.

Music has been an important part of my life for over 30 years. Already as a child I played piano, trumpet, guitar and finally found my passion for percussion!
During my travels to all corners of the world I was able to broaden my spectrum and appreciation for genres, instruments and detail.

Composing music and experimenting with sound has always been my passion.

Radu Popa
Audio Engineer

Hey, my name’s Crețu. I’ve been mixing sounds and songs since childhood, mostly thanks to my father. Later on, after my first years gathering experience at local live events, in 2010 I decided to take it a step further and obtained my sound engineer degree at Deutsche Pop Akademie in Colonia, Germany

Back in Romania, I created Phonon Sounds, a company dedicated to sound for live events and live recording sessions. For the past 10 years I have been active in both studios and live events, working with numerous artists from Romania and beyond. I believe that here at Mellowdy’s we have everything at our disposal for making great audio, cause: “if it sounds good, don’t change it”.

Radu Mureșian
Audio Engineer

I am a music producer and audio engineer with a degree in Popular Music Performance and Production from Solent University in Southampton. During my studies, I gained extensive knowledge in audio recording, music production, mixing and mastering.

Further on I worked on various projects, where I honed my skills and gained valuable experience. In the following year, I worked at Snog Studio in Sibiu, Romania, where I have continued to develop my skills and work with a variety of clients.

I am passionate about helping artists and musicians achieve their desired sound and bringing their creative vision to life here at Mellowdy's. My commitment is staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and techniques, and always looking for ways to improve my craft.

Simon Rauland
Audio Engineer

Music has been my passion for over three decades, and at the age of 15, I started recording my own music tracks on multi-track recorders. In 2001, I completed my studies as an audio engineer and have since been active as a sound engineer, musician, and producer. I now look back on numerous record releases and studio productions with various artists, as well as countless jobs as a live sound engineer.

Currently, I work as the technical director of the well-known Frankfurt music club "Batschkapp" and as a producer and sound engineer in various recording studios. My expertise ranges from jingle and short film soundtracks to complete productions with complex music groups. Overall, I always approach my work with joy and passion, and every day I am grateful that I can earn my living by fulfilling my childhood dream.
